General Regulations

All students admitted to the health sciences must adhere to the rules and regulations of SHINHS.

Specific Regulations

  • Attendance (Theory): A minimum of 85% attendance in theory classes is mandatory to be eligible for examinations.
  • Attendance (Clinical): 100% attendance is required for clinical rotations.
  • Clinical Absence: Students absent from clinical rotations must make up the missed hours.
  • Dress Code: Students must comply with the prescribed dress code.
  • Identification: Students must display their SHINHS identification card while on campus.
  • Hostel Regulations: Students must abide by all hostel rules and regulations.
  • Financial Obligations: Students will not be permitted to take examinations unless all outstanding dues have been settled.
  • Political Activities: Political activities are strictly prohibited within the institute, hostel, and clinical settings.
  • Conduct: Socially unacceptable behavior and any form of hazing are forbidden.
  • Assignment Submissions: Students are required to submit all written assignments in hard copy by the deadline and in soft copy via email.
  • Plagiarism: SHINHS maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism.
  • Harassment and Abuse: SHINHS has a zero-tolerance policy towards physical abuse, harassment among students, and misconduct towards faculty members.
  • Additional Regulations: Other SHINHS rules and regulations, as notified by the administration from time to time, will be applicable.
  • Late Assignment Penalty: Assignments submitted after the deadline will incur a deduction of 2% of the total marks per day.

Admission/General Policies & Information

  • SHINHS admission policy is based on merit. Students selected on merit will be enrolled in the BSN program. SHINHS reserves the right to assess each applicant’s suitability for the program.
  • Applicants for any program must submit a completed application form, along with attested photocopies of all required documents as specified on the form.
  • If an admitted candidate fails to report to the institution and submit the prescribed semester fee within one week of selection, their admission will be canceled. The next candidate on the waiting list will be offered admission. This decision is final and not subject to challenge in any court of law.

Unifrom Policy for Degree Program

Male Students:

  • White shirt with shoulder epaulets, featuring one blue stripe for the first year, two stripes for the second year, and so on.
  • Navy blue pants, black shoes, white socks, and a navy blue sweater during winter.
  • Note: Clinical area uniforms will adhere to Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and Allied Health Professional Council(PHAC) recommendations.

Recreational Activities

Recreational activities will be organized on and off campus by the student recreational committee under the guidance and supervision of faculty members.

Fee Refund Policy

If a student admitted to SHINHS wishes to withdraw their admission, 10% of the total fee will be deducted per week. No refunds will be provided after four weeks. The security deposit will be refunded at the end of the program.
